 This recent photograph shows the Germann House and the house immediately to its west. The exterior of the Germann House has not changed much in the past 100 years. The street address (1231) is now prominently displayed in antique numbers in the transom window over the main entrance. Two large evergreen shrubs flank the concrete walkway leading up to the house. An old fashioned street lamp is visible in the grassy area between the sidewalk and the street. Parked on the street is a late model, convertible sports car. The house to the west of the Germann House has a dark red brick exterior with a mansard roof enveloping the third story. Several mature trees straddle the lot line between the two houses. | |
